🎤 Sample Questions + Answers (Health):

Q: Why do many people have unhealthy lifestyles?

I think there are several factors contributing to unhealthy lifestyles. Firstly, modern work culture encourages sedentary lifestyles — people sit at desks for 8-10 hours a day, which takes a toll on their physical health. Secondly, junk food is often cheaper and more convenient than healthy options, making it the default choice for busy workers. Work-related stress also plays a major role — when people are exhausted, they’re less likely to exercise or cook a balanced diet. I think raising awareness about these issues and making healthy options more accessible are crucial steps.

Q: How can governments improve public health?

Governments can take several approaches. Preventive medicine should be a priority — investing in regular health check-ups, vaccination programs, and public health campaigns is much more cost-effective than treating chronic diseases after they develop. They could also regulate the food industry — for example, taxing sugary drinks and requiring clearer nutrition labels. Additionally, I think governments should address mental health more seriously, as the epidemic of loneliness and stress is a growing crisis. Providing free counseling services and promoting well-being in workplaces would make a significant difference.

🎤 Sample Questions + Answers (Culture):

Q: How important is it to preserve traditional culture?

I believe it’s extremely important to preserve traditions and cultural heritage, as they form the foundation of our cultural identity. Traditional customs that have been passed down from generation to generation give people a sense of belonging and connection to their roots. For instance, festivals like Lunar New Year in Vietnam or Obon in Japan aren’t just celebrations — they carry deep cultural meaning and bring communities together.

However, I think we need to strike a balance between preservation and progress. We shouldn’t preserve traditions at the expense of social development. Some practices may be outdated, and it’s okay to adapt them to modern times while keeping their essence. The key is to embrace diversity and evolution while honoring our roots.

Q: Has globalization affected local cultures?

Globalization has definitely had a major impact on local cultures, and I’d say it’s been both positive and negative. On the positive side, cultural exchange has increased dramatically — people now have access to music, food, and art from around the world, which broadens their perspectives. Cities have become melting pots of cultures, which I think is wonderful.

On the negative side, there’s a real risk of cultural assimilation — smaller cultures being absorbed by dominant Western culture. Many young people in Asian countries now prefer Western fashion, music, and food over their own folk traditions. This widening generation gap in cultural values is concerning. I think the solution is to actively promote cultural awareness and education so that people appreciate both global culture and their own heritage.
